Winnipeg Winter Recreation Guides Now Available

Families looking for activities to stay active and alleviate boredom during the winter have a new resource at their disposal.

The City of Winnipeg Winter 2022 Recreation Guide, Recreational Skating Brochure and Swimming Recreation Guide brochures are now available online.

The guides are filled with a variety of activities for individuals or the whole family.

Registration begins Dec. 14 at 8 a.m. for Winnipeggers and Thursday, Dec. 16 at 8 a.m. for those outside of Winnipeg.

There are three ways to register for Recreational Guide activities; online at the City’s website, by phone, or in person at 395 Main Street, or at any City of Winnipeg indoor pool (except St. James Civic Centre).

All programs will follow provincial public health orders and are subject to change if there are updates to the province’s orders.

Proof of vaccination is required for anyone 18 years of age or older who wishes to visit or participate in indoor programs at city-operated pools, fitness centers and arenas.

Beginning December 6, anyone between the ages of 12 and 17 will need either a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine or a recent confirmed negative test to participate in theatrical programming.

Masks must be worn at all times in city facilities, except during sports activities.

Residents can start deciding which activities they want to register for by clicking here.
