Toronto driver faces impaired charge in Wasaga Beach



An OPP officer on patrol carried out a traffic check at 9:30 p.m. on September 25, 2021 on Stonebridge Boulevard, Wasaga Beach. The officer initiated a drinking and driving investigation after speaking with the driver. As a result of the investigation, Robert Deluca, 47, of Toronto, was charged with impaired operation – alcohol and drugs and impaired operation – blood alcohol level (80 and over) contrary to the Code criminal from Canada.

The accused was released from police custody on an undertaking to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood October 19, 2021.

In addition, the involved vehicle was impounded for 7 days and received a 90-day driver’s license suspension on-site in accordance with the conditions set out in the administrative license suspension. (ADLS).
