Teenager accused of being stabbed twice in Wasaga Beach


Members of the Ontario Provincial Police’s Huronia West Detachment made an arrest in connection with a stabbing investigation in Wasaga Beach that left two seriously injured victims.

On June 17, 2021, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a 9-1-1 call to report two seriously injured 18-year-old men on the Main Street Bridge in Wasaga Beach. Simcoe County paramedics transported the two victims to the local hospital and one was then airlifted by Ornge to a Toronto area trauma center.

The initial police investigation revealed that an altercation had taken place between the victims and the suspect, in which the two victims were stabbed.

On June 24, 2021, members of the Huronia West OPP Crime Unit, with assistance from the South Georgian Bay Crime Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence of Wasaga Beach and arrested the suspect.

As a result, a 15-year-old man from Wasaga Beach was charged with:

  • Attempted murder – two counts
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purposes
  • Flight
  • Failure to comply with probation order

The accused is being held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood, scheduled for later today.
