There are four clinics between August 11 and 15 offering first and second dose walk-in vaccines
There are four area clinics offering walk-in availability for first and second dose COVID-19 vaccines in the South Georgian Bay area this week.
Tomorrow (August 11) and Friday August 13, the Wasaga Beach clinic at RecPLex is accepting walk-in visits from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On Saturday August 14, there is a pop-up clinic at the Stayner Arena offering walk-in vaccines between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
On Sunday August 15, the Royal Canadian Legion Drive-thru Clinic in Collingwood is accepting walk-in tours (or drive-thru) from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
To be eligible for a walk-in spot, you must be 12 years of age or older and reside in the Simcoe-Muskoka region. Clinics will have mRNA vaccines (Moderna and / or Pfizer), which must be given at least 28 days apart.
Walk-in visits will be accepted while supplies last, and the health unit will update its walk-in schedule when clinics are full. You can check the schedule here.
The health unit reminds people to dress for the weather as they may be forced to wait outside.
You will need your Medicare card for your walk-in or scheduled appointment. To learn more about local immunization clinics, click here.
