Simcoe County Paramedic Services kicked off the 19th Annual Toy Drive on November 12, 2021, raising 1,705 toys, over 2,130 pounds of food and over $11,250 in cash and gift cards so far.

The toy drive was bolstered by two major donations from a local family and business. A special thank you to the Mathias family who, during the year, bought 594 toys, keeping them in their living room until the day when they can donate. Another big thank you to Liahona Capital in Barrie for their extremely generous donation of $2,500 in gift cards. These contributions will go a long way in helping many children and families in need have a happy holiday season.

Remember that donations, new unwrapped toys and food will be accepted at various locations in Simcoe County. Visit simcoe.ca/toydrive to learn more.
