The Ontario Provincial Police charged three other people and seized three vehicles this week as part of an ongoing investigation into organized criminal activity.

The case began on July 30, 2020, when the Kirkland Lake Provincial Police opened an investigation into a stolen vehicle linked to organized crime.

With the help of several specialized police units, police recovered three trucks worth a total of $ 225,000 and a total of four people have now been arrested and charged.

A 27-year-old Kirkland Lake resident has been charged with Possession of Property Over $ 5,000 Obtained by Crime. A hearing date of September 17 has been set.

A 26-year-old youth from Barrie is charged with Possession of Property Over $ 5,000 Obtained by Crime, Trafficking in Stolen Property and Using a False Document. A first court hearing is scheduled for today.

A 22 year old youth, also from Barrie, is charged with Possession of Property Over $ 5,000 Obtained by Crime, Trafficking in Stolen Property and Using a False Document. A first court hearing is also scheduled today.

A 34-year-old man from Wasaga Beach is charged with Possession of Property Over $ 5,000 Obtained by Crime and Using a Forged Document. The suspect’s first hearing is also scheduled for today.
