Innisfil Library Recognizes Indigenous History, Pride This Month


You won’t miss things do in June at the IdeaLAB and the Innisfil Library! During the month, a number of exciting events will occur that will stimulate your inner passions and put some pep in your step! There are amazing experiences for all ages and interests – there’s something for everyone!

Grow Innisfil
We are transforming our gardens at the Lakeshore branch and we need your help! Come help us plant a new educational pollinator garden filled with native plants that will attract bees, butterflies and birds. Get yourself a DIY kit, enjoy a cool treat and win great gardening prizes. This transformation of the garden is made possible thanks to the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.

National Indigenous History Month Guest Speaker: Mark Douglas
Innisfil ideaLAB & Library features Mark Douglas, Elder and Knowledge Keeper of the Chippewas of Rama First Nation, who shares the story of Mnjikaning, the Fish fence in the strait between Couchiching and Simcoe lakes, a 5,000-year-old story that has been nearly lost. All ages are welcome, registration required.
