Harvey’s RV and street crew will be in Orillia on Sunday handing out free ‘better together burgers’

The past two years have been difficult for Canadians. As this is the first unrestricted summer, Harvey’s wants to bring friends and family together over free Better Together Burgers.

From June 18 to September 5, the Harvey’s RV and Street Crew will visit 12 cities across Ontario as well as free burger giveaways in Alberta and Quebec, giving away another 100,000 free Better Together Burgers to burger lovers. and to a friend. The RV will arrive in Orillia on Sunday and offer free “Better Together” burgers at the Orillia Recreation Center (255 West St. S.) from noon to 5 p.m.

Canadians can enjoy a Better Together Burger and share another tasty Harvey’s burger with a friend or family member – at Harvey’s! Just like onion rings and fries are better together – AKA Fringes – So are burger lovers and their friends. Customers can enjoy on-site burgers with a loved one or share a digital coupon with someone they miss to claim their own free burger.

“The past few summers have been tough for everyone and Harvey’s burgers are synonymous with Canadian summer dining,” said David Colebrook, President, Harvey’s Canada. “Our goal is to celebrate by bringing everyone together again – and what better than delicious Harvey’s burgers.”

Harvey’s has supported Canadians throughout the pandemic and is delighted to celebrate the return of Canadians. During Canada’s first lockdown in March 2020, all government healthcare workers, frontline workers and their families received 50% off their orders at all Harvey’s stores. In the summer of 2020, The Harvey’s RV toured across Canada to thank frontline workers with free burgers, donating over $100,000.

Harvey’s also partnered with hockey maker Bauer and all guests were greeted with a Bauer hockey stick holding the payment terminal as a fun way to maintain physical distancing. A portion of the proceeds from all drive-thru sales were donated to Food Banks Canada.

Then, last summer, when the first and second doses were administered, Harvey’s partnered with Ontario Health teams at pop-up vaccination clinics in the Greater Toronto Area, offering free Harvey’s RV burgers to those who came to be vaccinated.

“Offering free burgers to Canadians and providing frontline workers with Harvey’s discounts was our way of thanking you for doing your part to keep everyone safe,” said Chelsea Kellock, Vice President, Marketing, Harvey’s Canada. “Now that the restrictions are lifted, Harvey’s wants Canadians to celebrate being able to reconnect with friends and family over free burgers.”

The Harvey’s RV will kick off its Father’s Day weekend tour in Oakville on Saturday, June 18 and the Wasaga Beach Waterfront Festival on Sunday, June 19. An extension of the tour will continue in Alberta with 29 additional stops to give away free burger coupons.
