The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit continues to offer pop-up, one-day COVID-19 vaccination clinics at locations across Simcoe Muskoka, with the next clinics taking place June 6-June 11. years and older, third and booster doses for persons 12 years of age and older, and fourth doses for persons 60 years of age and older and Indigenous persons and non-Indigenous household members 18 years of age and older are available at the following locations:

Monday, June 6

Clinic location: GO-VAXX bus – Allandale Recreation Centre, 190 Bayview Dr., Barrie

Time: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Clinic location: GO-VAXX bus – Wasaga RecPlex, 1724 Mosely St., Wasaga Beach

Time: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Tuesday, June 7

Clinic location: POP-UP Clinic – Penetanguishene Public Library, 24 Simcoe Street, Penetanguishene

Time: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Wednesday, June 8

Clinic location: GO-VAXX bus – Bracebridge SportsPlex, 110 Clearbrook Trail, Bracebridge

Time: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Thursday June 9

Clinic location: GO-VAXX bus – Innisfil ideaLab & Library, Lakeshore, 967 Innisfil Beach Rd., Innisfil

Time: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Saturday June 11

Clinic location: GO-VAXX bus – Midland North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre, 527 Len Self Blvd., Midland

Time: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Appointments for GO-VAXX clinics can also be booked up to four days before the clinic through the COVID-19 Vaccination Portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Center at 1-833-943-3900.

The health unit continues to offer COVID-19 vaccines walk-in and by appointment at Georgian Mall, 509 Bayfield Street (lower level) in Barrie Wednesday to Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and by appointment only at vaccination clinics in its offices in Midland, Orillia, Cookstown, Collingwood, Huntsville and Gravenhurst. Appointments can be booked through the Immunization Portal or the Contact Center as noted above.

You can also receive the vaccine in many local pharmacies or made appointments through some primary care providers and family health teams who offer the vaccine as part of their regular clinical practice. Pop-up and mobile GO-VAXX clinics will continue to be held in Simcoe and Muskoka.

Additionally, the COVID-19 Immunization Clinic at 29 Sperling Dr. in Barrie offers walk-in visits and walk-in visits from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Appointments can also be made with the Ontario Health Team Couchiching Clinic located in the Kiwanis Building at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital Orillia – West Entrance 170 Colborne Street West.

When arriving at a clinic, individuals are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, as they may be required to wait outside before entering the clinic. They are also reminded to bring proper identification (eg, health card, driver’s license, passport), a list of all medications they are taking, to wear a loose shirt that allows easy access to upper arm and bring any assistive devices as needed (e.g. scooter, wheelchair, cane). Please note that everyone attending a Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit Community Immunization Clinic will be required to wear a mask. Masks will be made available at the entrance of all our clinics.
