COVID vaccination clinics planned throughout Simcoe County


The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit continues to offer pop-up, one-day COVID-19 vaccination clinics at locations across Simcoe Muskoka, with the next clinics taking place July 25-August 1. five years and older, first booster doses for people 12 years and older and second booster doses for people 18 years and older who received their first booster dose five months (140 days) ago or at least three months (84 days) are available on the following locations:

Monday July 25

  • Clinic Location: POP-UP Clinic – St. Patrick’s Church, 215 Pine Street, Stayner

Wednesday July 27

  • Clinic location: GO-VAXX Bus – East Bayfield Community Centre, 80 Livingstone St. E., Barrie
  • Clinic Location: POP-UP Clinic – Wasaga Beach RecPlex, 1724 Mosley St., Wasaga Beach
    • Time: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Thursday July 28

  • Clinic Location: GO-VAXX Bus – Collingwood Home Hardware Building Centre, 104 High St., Collingwood

Appointments for GO-VAXX clinics can also be made up to four days before the clinic through the COVID-19 Immunization Portal or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Center at 1-833-943-3900.

The health unit continues to offer COVID-19 vaccines walk-in and by appointment at the Georgian Mall, 509 Bayfield Street (lower level) in Barrie:

  • Tuesday: noon – 8 p.m.
  • Wednesday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Appointments are also available at immunization clinics at health unit offices in Midland, Orillia, Cookstown, Collingwood, Huntsville and Gravenhurst. Appointments can be booked through the Immunization Portal or the Contact Center as noted above.

You can also receive the vaccine in many local pharmacies or made appointments through some primary care providers and family health teams who offer the vaccine as part of their regular clinical practice. Pop-up and mobile GO-VAXX clinics will continue to be held in Simcoe and Muskoka.

Additionally, the COVID-19 Immunization Clinic at 29 Sperling Dr. in Barrie is offering walk-in visits and walk-in visits from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Appointments can also be made at the Ontario Health Team Couchiching Clinic located in the Kiwanis Building at Soldier’s Memorial Hospital Orillia – West Entrance 170 Colborne St. West.

When arriving at a clinic, individuals are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, as they may be required to wait outside before entering the clinic. They are also reminded to bring proper identification (eg, health card, driver’s license, passport), a list of all medications they are taking, to wear a loose shirt that allows easy access to upper arm and bring any assistive devices as needed (e.g. scooter, wheelchair, cane). Please note that everyone attending a Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit Community Immunization Clinic will be required to wear a mask. Masks will be made available at the entrance of all our clinics.
