Library programs

There is a wide range of library programs for all ages and interests in Northumberland County during Spring Break. Stop by the Campbellford Library on Tuesday, March 15 between 10:30-11:30 a.m. for Maker Space activities for kids ages 6-12 or St. Patrick’s Day Storytime for kids ages 2-12. Ages 6 with special guests, the Hastings Ukulele Band from ages 10. :30 – 11:30 am The Cobourg Library is hosting a Lego contest and offers Take and Make kits on everything from space exploration to crystal chemistry, plus offers for teens like Coding Club and Teen Battleship. The Colborne Library will be hosting events throughout the week, including a matinee showing Encanto on Monday, March 14 and Friday, March 18 at 1 p.m. Contact your nearest library branch for more details and to register for programs during March Break.

March Break Bees and Things Experience

For local and educational fun, bring your kids to the Bees and Things Experience at Dancing Bee Equipment in Port Hope to interact with beekeepers, take a spin, paint a beehive, play games, make candles and learn the basics beekeeping, honey and pollination. Activities will be age-based with children ages 5-9 invited on Tuesday, March 15 and children ages 10+ invited on Thursday, March 17. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Public swimming and skating

Free public skating will be offered by the Township of Township of Alnwick/Haldimand at the Community Center from March 14 to 18 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
